Mr. Fan is the principal of William W.L. Fan & Co. solicitors, who has been a qualified solicitor for over 35 years in Hong Kong. Mr. Fan is also a solicitor of England and Wales, a barrister and solicitor of Australia (ACT), an advocate & solicitor of Singapore and civil celebrant of marriages in Hong Kong.

Mr. Fan is a China Appointed Attesting Officer and visiting researcher of South China Institute of Politics & Law (now known as Zhongnan University of Economics and Law).

Mr. Fan has a thorough practice in advising on a broad array of matters relating to charity law.  He has assisted a number of organizations to obtain charitable status in Hong Kong including local and international charitable organizations and a number of top Universities in the world.

Mr. Fan is also actively participating in community services through taking up posts including President of Rotary Club of Shatin (1994-1995), Honorary Permanent Chairman of The Hong Kong Hubei Fraternity, Vice-Chairman of Buddha’s Light International Association of Hong Kong Ltd., Director of The Association of Hong Kong Professional, Honorary Director of City University of Hong Kong Foundation, Honorary Member of Rotary Club of Hong Kong Finance Centre, Honorary legal adviser to various religious, educational, recreational and charitable organizations and foundations.
